Risk Management to a large extent involves human psychology and decision making processes. Communication is crucial to influence and create a culture that considers riskbased decision making. This workshop will build on practical solutions and methods to develop simpler risk communications. It will demonstrate how risk language can encourage collaborative approaches to increase risk capability.
What will the workshop cover?
- Identifying tools and techniques that can be used to create governance and risk dialogue across the organisaiton
- Understanding the importance of governance processes and agenda setting so that risk management is front and center of the organisation
- Replacing risk jargons to achieve a more effective dialogue
- Collaborative sharing by participants on how they have embedded risk based decision making within their everyday business

Shared Risk often requires a network of distributed responsibilities and relationships. The growing use of collaborative approaches by government such as shared publicprivate partnerships and inter-agency task forces means that shared risk is becoming more prevalent.
What will the workshop cover?
- How can organisations contribute to managing shared risk effectively
- Overcoming challenges involved with managing shared risk
- How to establish governance mechanisms for complex shared risk
- Establishing shared risk as a level of importance within the organisation

Recent reports have indicated that major Australian business suffered 7238 online attacks in the last financial year. This demands Risk Resilience within government organisations to equip them to anticipate change, adapt to change and recover from a range of risks while seizing the opportunities hidden within them.
What will the workshop cover?
- Identifying what constitutes as an emerging risk and how it affects your organisation
- How to implement a proactive approach to anticipate emerging cyber risks
- How to identify strategies to combat Future Digital Risks externally and internally
